Michael L. Sullivan
President and Chief Executive Officer
Michael L. Sullivan was appointed as Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Source Interlink Companies, Inc. on April 12, 2010. Mike was previously President and Chief Executive Officer of Comag Marketing Group (CMG). He was selected as the first CEO of the joint venture formed by Condé Nast Publications and Hearst Magazines in April 2000. In recent years, Sullivan has served on the Board of Directors of the 25 Year Club, the GMDC Merchandise Advisory Board, the Board of Directors for the International Periodical Distributors Association (IPDA), and the Magazine Retail Advisory Council (MRAC), which was a working group of the MPA the Association of Magazine Media (formerly, Magazine Publishers of America). He has been active in consumer and industry relations throughout his career, speaking frequently on behalf of the magazine industry. Before being tapped to head CMG, Sullivan was Executive Vice President of Hearst Distribution Group, Inc. (HDG). Since entering the periodical industry in 1981, he has held senior executive positions with TV Guide, Murdoch Magazines & The News Group. Sullivan is a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
John B. Bode
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
John Bode was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Source Interlink Companies in January 2011, after excelling in a series of senior management positions for the company over the previous eight years. Bode’s financial and business acumen helped Source to navigate tumultuous waters in the recent past. In 2009, he led efforts to restructure debt ahead of a pre-packaged bankruptcy filing, and in 2010 he oversaw the divestiture of the company’s DVD/CD distribution division to private equity firms. Currently, Bode manages all merger and acquisition activity, in addition to overseeing the company’s finance and treasury functions. Bode joined Source in 2002 as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller before going on to serve as Chief Operating Officer of the Periodical Fulfillment Services Division and then Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance for the company as a whole. Before joining Source, Bode was an Audit Manager at accounting and business services consultancy BDO Seidman, LLP, operating out of St. Louis and Chicago. A Certified Public Accountant, he holds a BS in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
Stephanie S. Justice
Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer
Stephanie S. Justice was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Source Interlink Companies in September 2010 and given broad responsibility to improve the company’s operations by enabling change via technology, people and process initiatives. Justice has direct responsibility for the company’s Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal Affairs and Real Estate Management functions. But her principal focus is to serve as a collaborative change agent – working with other senior executives, external partners and Source’s deep talent pool to drive innovation and strategic planning across business units. Justice joined Source Interlink Companies with 18 years of professional experience in media, strategy, consulting, information technology and finance. She is a seasoned executive with a large network and extensive experience at both the tactical levels of execution and executive level of strategic planning, having successfully enabled dozens of clients through business transformations at Deloitte and most recently at Comag Marketing Group, LLC, a jointly owned company of Condé Nast and The Hearst Corporation. Justice is a Certified Public Accountant, who holds a BS from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.
David G. Algire
President, Source Interlink Distribution
David Algire was named President of Source Interlink Distribution (SID) in November 2010 and charged with putting North America’s second-largest periodicals wholesaler – with an approximately 30 percent share of the single-copy magazine distribution market – on a long-term path of sustainable growth. Algire is responsible for all SID functions, including sales, publisher support services, retail support services, category management, purchasing and inventory management, warehouse operations, planning and optimization, merchandising, rack manufacturing, retail claims and new business development. He also oversees Source Interlink International. Algire brings to SID experience from all levels of the single-copy supply chain. A 25-year veteran in the industry, he most recently served Meredith Corporation’s National Media Group as Vice President of Retail Sales. Algire spent most of his career with the Reader’s Digest Association, where he held a series of increasingly responsible positions in single-copy sales. Long an advocate for the industry, Algire has served on the board of the IPDA (International Periodical Distributor Association) and as Chairman of the 2005 Retail Conference. In 2007, he was named a Circulation All-Star by Circulation Management Magazine. Algire holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, NC.
Chris H. Argentieri
President, Source Interlink Media
Chris Argentieri was appointed President of Source Interlink Media (SIM) in September 2010 and put in charge of the country’s largest collection of special-interest media, which includes 78 publications, 101 websites, 800 branded products and more than 50 annual events. Argentieri’s primary responsibilities include enhancing the relationship between the division’s brands and its audience, leading the continued development of SIM’s digital businesses and improving its customer offerings by expanding its integrated media platforms. Argentieri had previously been SIM’s Chief Operating Officer and he will continue to oversee day-to-day business activities, such as sales, technology, consumer marketing, brand development and operations. Earlier in his Source career, Argentieri presided over dramatic growth in terms of both revenue and profitability at Source Interlink International (SII), where he served as President and Managing Director. In 2008, he took on the additional role of Senior Vice President of Marketing for Source Interlink Distribution, in which capacity he managed all aspects of that company’s relationship with the magazine trade – from purchasing to category management. Prior to joining Source in 2005, Argentieri held various operational roles at Hearst Magazines.
Frank Bishop
President, Source Interlink Manufacturing
EVP, Source Interlink Distribution
Frank Bishop was named President of Source Interlink Manufacturing in July 2011 and put in charge of all aspects of the manufacturing division, which is focused on the design and production of front-end check-out equipment including sales, marketing and manufacturing. In addition, he will retain the responsibility of ancillary Retail Services including the Retail Rebate Management team. A 35-year industry veteran, Bishop joined Source in 1995 as Marketing Director before moving to various executive roles, most recently as EVP of Sales, Source Interlink Distribution. His leadership has been an integral part of the strategic growth and direction for Source as a leader in the single copy supply-chain. Prior to joining Source, Bishop spent over 20 years in management roles at Triangle News in Pittsburgh PA.
