Active Interest Media, Inc. announced today that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire the rights to publish the marine and online properties currently published by Source Interlink Media, a division of Source Interlink Companies, Inc. This agreement establishes AIM as the country’s premier marine media and events group, and now includes Power & Motoryacht (PMY), Sail, along with its existing print titles Yachts International, Soundings, Soundings Trade Only, and Passagemaker, and online property BoatQuest.com. 1/12/2011: Ryder Signs Source Interlink To Flex-To-Green Lease For Natural Gas Trucks
Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a leader in commercial transportation and supply chain management solutions, announced today the signing of its first Flex-to-Green lease agreement with Source Interlink Companies, Inc., an integrated media, publishing, merchandising and logistics company that produces and distributes magazine content to retail locations across the U.S. and abroad. 12/21/2011: Source Interlink Companies’ David Buck Named 2011 Lee County AHA Volunteer of the Year
Source Interlink Companies’ Director of Asset Protection, David Buck, was selected as the 2011 Lee County American Heart Association Volunteer of the Year. Buck, who has been the campaign lead for the annual Lee County Heartwalk fundraising campaign for two years, was recognized for outstanding volunteerism and support of this annual effort, which raised a total of $391,659 in Lee County this year. SAIL Magazine has announced the launch of SAILfeed, an all-new blog aggregation website. Sailfeed.com, managed by SAIL, features the work of seven independent bloggers in the sailing community. The SAILfeed blog team is made up of experts from all over the world of sailing, including SAIL’s own executive editor Charles J. 12/1/2011: Longtime Publisher Jim Adolph Rejoins Source Interlink Media Staff
This week, Source Interlink Media welcomed back Jim Adolph as publisher of the American Motorcycle Group, which comprises Hot Bike, Hot Bike Baggers and Street Choppers magazines. Adolph previously served as publisher of Car Craft magazine for the company from the mid-’80’s through early ‘90’s and oversaw the launch of Chevy High Performance magazine and published Corvette Fever magazine. 11/30/2011: Motorcyclist Prepares for 100th Anniversary with Special Historic Content
Motorcyclist magazine will have a big year in 2012, celebrating its 100th anniversary with a full year’s worth of commemorative issues. All 12 issues during 2012 will feature a special “MC 100” section, which will include a timeline, retrospective stories and photos, tests of period motorcycles and contributions from former staffers. The highlight will be September’s annual “Motorcycle of the Year” issue, which will also acknowledge the Motorcycle and Motorcyclist of the Century. (more)

Source Interlink Media (SIM) is excited to announce the appointment of Angus MacKenzie to the position of Chief Content Officer. GrindMedia, a leading action and adventure sports media company and division of Source Interlink Media, has announced the acquisition of ATV Magazine, atvmagonline.com and atvsport.com. The magazine, which has been published since 1995 by Ehlert Publishing Group, LLC, and the Web sites will be folded into GrindMedia’s ATV Rider Magazine, according to Norb Garrett, SVP and Group Publisher of GrindMedia.
